Infiltration at the Lunar Base

In a high-risk undercover mission, Commander Sally Po infiltrated one of the most heavily guarded facilities of the OZ military organization: the Lunar Base. Her objective was clear and urgent—to prevent the remains of the Gundam Sandrock, once piloted by Quatre Raberba Winner, from falling into enemy hands to be analyzed or replicated.

Despite the intense security, Sally successfully penetrated the base undetected. However, she wasn’t alone. The Maganac Corps, a squad loyal to Quatre and originating from the Colonies, had also tracked the location of the remains and arrived with their own plan.

Although the encounter between Sally and the Maganac Corps could have ended in confrontation, both parties opted for dialogue. The squad leaders proposed an alternative to destruction: to recover the Gundam parts and rebuild Sandrock at their own base, preserving both a powerful weapon and a symbol of resistance.

Sally, after assessing the proposal and understanding the strategic and emotional value of the Gundam, agreed to cooperate. Her decision reinforced the alliance between Earth’s resistance and the Colonial forces, proving that even in times of war, collaboration can prevail over conflict.

Media Blow: The Destruction of Gundam Deathscythe

Elsewhere in the conflict, OZ carried out a carefully orchestrated operation with clear propaganda purposes: the public destruction of the Gundam Deathscythe. Piloted by Duo Maxwell, this iconic unit was eliminated on live broadcast by a squad of newly trained OZ recruits.

The scene was broadcast widely. OZ aimed not just to eliminate a tactical threat, but to dismantle a powerful symbol of resistance. The psychological effect was severe: while the Colonials mourned the loss, OZ supporters hailed it as a decisive victory.

One of the most shocking elements of the operation was the direct involvement of Trowa Barton, a former Gundam pilot. Now enlisted within OZ ranks, Trowa took part in the mission that destroyed Deathscythe.

His presence raises more questions than answers. Has he willingly changed sides? Is this a deep infiltration mission? Or has he been manipulated by OZ? Though his motivations remain unclear, his involvement left his former allies and conflict observers deeply unsettled.

Heero Yuy's Mission: A Failed Attempt

As these events unfolded, Heero Yuy launched one of the most dangerous missions to date: a direct infiltration of OZ’s Lunar Base. His goal was to destroy two newly developed OZ mobile suits—Mercurius and Vayeate. These next-generation units represent a major technological leap, with unmatched combat capabilities.

Heero managed to infiltrate the facility but was intercepted before completing his mission. His captor: none other than Trowa Barton. The brief encounter between the two, once comrades-in-arms, was as symbolic as it was tragic. Trowa, now acting under OZ’s command, apprehended Heero without words or explanation.

With Heero now in custody and unable to sabotage the new units, OZ prepares to deploy Mercurius and Vayeate. If launched at full capacity, these mobile suits could shift the balance of power. Equipped with advanced tactical intelligence and superior weaponry, their existence poses a critical threat to the Colonials.

Heero’s failed mission leaves the resistance vulnerable, and puts pressure on other fronts to counteract this new technological advantage.

The Return of Sandrock: A Hope in Progress

Despite recent setbacks, the recovery of the Gundam Sandrock’s remains provides a glimmer of hope. Under the protection of the Maganac Corps, the parts have been transported to a secure base where they are expected to be reconstructed soon.

Sandrock is more than a weapon. It symbolizes leadership, camaraderie, and tactical precision. Its return could boost the morale of the resistance and partially restore their operational strength after the loss of Deathscythe.

The televised destruction of Deathscythe is part of OZ’s broader strategy: controlling public perception. The organization seeks not only to defeat its enemies militarily but also to erode their image and demoralize their supporters.

By involving new recruits in these operations, OZ also demonstrates its capacity for rapid training and indoctrination. Psychological warfare is now as central to the conflict as physical battles.

Shifting Loyalties, Uncertain Motivations

Trowa Barton’s case best illustrates the conflict’s complexity. His change of allegiance—real or feigned—leaves everyone wondering about his true intent. Known for his silent demeanor and pragmatic approach, Trowa remains unreadable. Is he infiltrating OZ? Following a hidden agenda? Or has he genuinely changed convictions?

Similarly, Sally Po’s decision to cooperate with the Maganac Corps proves that even in war, some actions are guided by principles, empathy, and long-term vision. In times of turmoil, such actions may carry more weight than any direct assault.

With Heero captured, Duo out of action, and Trowa in an ambiguous role, the Colonies’ forces face a critical stage. The deployment of Mercurius and Vayeate could tilt the war in OZ’s favor—unless new forces emerge or current units reorganize swiftly.

However, the restoration of the Gundam Sandrock offers a chance to regain momentum. The next moves will determine whether the resistance can stay in the fight or if OZ’s dominance will become irreversible.

What happened at the Lunar Base was not just another military operation. It was a collision of ideologies, technologies, and human decisions. War isn’t fought with weapons alone; it is also waged in gestures, alliances, betrayals, and the will to resist.

The resistance’s future depends not only on its firepower but also on its ability to uphold its identity and purpose. As OZ expands and manipulates, the coming steps of those who still believe in freedom will be critical. In this war, every action—no matter how small—can be the turning point toward a different future.
